There are a number of choices to make about the type and finish of your wall render such as cement, lime and clay renders all of which require several coats. Now there is monocouche a one coat system that arrives in a bag ready-made and can be applied either with a trowel or sprayed on.
Dry Wall
Known as plasterboard, gypsum boards or wall board is a panel made of gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper. This is fixed to the walls and then skimmed as this provides a much smoother finish ready for decorating.
Coving
Coving can be fixed to the top of the wall and the ceiling creating a smooth finish to your walls. It can also flex and move with the house especially at the top of the wall line and is less likely to crack.
Artex Removal
Artex was seen in the 70’s and 80’s as a means of creating textured walls and reducing the amount of wall papering. It was so popular in its day that we are left now with the legacy. We can remove artex by skimming and creating a smooth finish.
Tyrolene
Tyrolean is a cement based textured exterior wall coatings which is hand applied using a tool called a Tyrolene gun
K Render
Is a silicone based render that delivers water repellency to the surface and gives a durable weatherproof coating and a natural looking finish.
